So in my regal I been spraying a 200 shot on my 400 sbc almost all summer probably 25-30 bottles on 93 pump gas,I hit it with a 250 for the heck of it and felt slower this was on race fuel ,I tryed this with 28* and 30* just didn't feel like a hard hit like the 200 on pump gas and 30* debating on hitting it with 250 on pump gas plate only goes to 300 been searching on other forums can't find right answer, plugs are NGK #8s ,200 all at once out the hole with manual trans 90% street car

That's a lot of spray for a street car
Are you sure about your timing?
Everything else up to snuff to handle that much spray? Good ignition etc

Are there any track times to go with the “felt faster”? If you back to the 200 does it come back? I’m wondering if you are driving through the clutch at 250 or is there something else in the setup that can’t support the extra power.

You need some times to compare. And plug readings will help. You have a lot of things that could be cookin'. As bracketchev mentioned - you could be blowing thru the converter/clutch. And that's plenty of timing IMO, but I guess the block isn't windowed and the rods are still straight.

If you are blowing thru the converter, then you're about at the limit of the manual controller IMO. This is where a progressive controller starts to shine - but this all speculation without some 60' times.

That's why you stage the kits. 200 1st/launch, 400 2nd, then another 5-700 for good measure. 😁

Good conservative advice, as long as bottle pressure stays above 1000 and fuel pressure below 3.

My old 455 Buick felt quicker with 175hp jets than with 250s. Timeslips told a different story.

The problem ended being the one bottle how I had it positioned I hooked up one of the other bottles in the car ,the one in the trunk didn't realize how important bottle position is and car was a rocket least felt like it also maxed the plate out with 300 jets and went even faster this morning on the way to work, fastest this car has gonna was 10.35 @131 1.59 60' not bad for a little small block and a 4 speed , motor is coming out Thursday for my 496 to go in
