Well I failed my saftey check because I dont have a my plate mounted on my bumper, but I dont see how I would mount it without drilling holes in my cherry nose of my 1979 lemans wagon? any body got a pic of how they were mounted? did they come with a factory plate bracket, I really dont want to drill holes in my nose! state in question Hawaii.

thanks

a friend of mine had the same problem with his monte ss, he ended up making brackets that go under the nose, not the strongest but it sucks to drill holes in a perfect front end

GM still sells the stupid plastic piece it mounts to...I'm in the midst of making a custom one because I have already broken two of the stock ones. The one that came with her and the $25 one I replaced. They suck though. You can see in this pic, but not the best view. It mounts to the bottom of the bumper and to the little plate on front bumper...I don't know if yours is different.

T-top, that's awesome. Been going over several ideas about this. My custom front skirt has NO PLACE for a license plate. This looks like it mounts from below and would be perfect, and legal. Adding to my "todo" list!

oooo that one on the camaro looks sweet...But as far as the other on, I did some research on those hide away brackets. The consensus is that they suck. If it's a show car they are perfect for retracting at a show. As far as regular car with it they are apparently flimsy. My buddy put one on his corvette and took it right back off. So they are not all they are cracked up to be. If you plan on using at any speed, think again.
