There isn't much room on the rocker panel for the lift to operate with using a 2X4 to spread the load. Where do people that have used a lift grab the body w/o damaging it?
PS: On the good news, every one of the body bolts came out easily today. glad to have a southern car.

Only place is on the rocker lip. Just need to be careful. Once you get it up high enough you can slip a 4x4 above the frame and under the rocker and lift that

I ran a 2x4 through the table saw and make a dado cut to fit the pinch welded body flange. When lifting with the jack, it helps spread the load to minimize bending the sheet metal. Lift each side little by little, then add cribbing and 4x4 beams underneath. EBB07FCD-50B3-449F-A012-F235006CAF6D.jpeg

Had to make some new pads for the lift to allow the clearance between the frame and the body (only about one-half inch in front). You can't see but I did weld a tab on the top of the pad that goes just inside the pinch metal.

I took the front clip off (from fenders fwd and the doors (put back on after frame separation) to protect the insides. No lift! Pure 8 man lift!
