Kilduff Rods will never ever look as cool as the Hurst ones though. JMO. :)
I agree but if a shifter jams while having fun, so ends the fun:(.

Im gonna go ahead and purchase, not really into the mechanics of it but more for the looks and rather get these as they are oem from a 80’s hurst and the look is [emoji378] and the fitting does not bring much adjustments, i will keep ya posted...
I mean... wont it look great on this bit$%. ? 🤣

I agree. The Kilduff rods are a crude copy. The reason no one copied the Hurst Lightning rod design is because they are patented. Ever wonder why the aftermarket reproduction didn't fly?

Once you get used to them they work good but the kilduff ones are on my radar

I have 3 sets of original lightning rods and have never had a jamming issue with any of them.....Like with anything else, correct adjustment and installation is key. You can't beat the looks of the Hurst version.

Hi all,

Im looking into installing a lightning rod shifter from a 87/88 hurst that i will like to install on my 85’ 442, will they fit right on and work with my trans? and whats a good price to pay?
Some guy is charging me $400 for the shifter/cable/plate and too cover plate. Is that too much?
That's a steal, nab them and run...

You do nice work.
I think my cable is bent in my drive rod, It wont push far enough to get past the last detent and put it in 3rd. Does anyone reproduce the indicator brushes or is there other GM applications that have them also.

Have a good day.
