Hey all, I've been shopping for a G-body since I was 15. I always wanted a Cutlass the most. But I love all of these cars. 35 now and I finally bought my first G. An 83 Regal.

It's say for 20 years and was horribly mouse infested but the frame is good, and the body is really solid for a T-top car.

I've pulled the 4.1 and the auto, gutted the interior, and patched the driver's side floor.

All it needs is some cleaning and sealing and I can start putting some things back together.

Swapping in a Chevy 350, flat top pistons, vortec heads and a marine cam. (The engine was put together to replace the truck 350 in my 78 Chevette) I have a V8 Camaro T5 with a Chevette tailshaft installed that I hope clears the split bench.

If you’ve bought and sold a Chevette, the natural progression is a Vega with a 427

I don’t think I’ve seen a Regal with bright work and T-tops, it looks real good

Nah, no Vega for me, lol. I do like them, but I'm loving this aftermarket support, and used part availability with the G Body.

I can sympathize with the parts availability, this chassis is like building blocks to boot. Especially with interiors, I’m stuffing a Grand Prix interior into my Monte Carlo. Excluding upper sail panels, those are model specific.

Welcome nice car - it's always nice to see another regal. I was going to say they sell patch panels for the floor but you seem to have that in hand. Just a heads up, I put fiberglass bumper fillers
on mine, like the fit and pretty reasonable. If you lose that marine cam you could have a potent 350. good luck - have fun
