The problem with under $10K cars is rust.. and nice cars make better race cars than rusty ones.

If your going to make it a race car then I would just look for a clean hardtop Regal and make it look like a T-Type.

This 86' Regal looks pretty clean and would be easy to make it look like a GN or T-Type and has a BBC in it for $4500.

That motor looks like it is being attacked by a giant spider. I'd be afraid to open the hood.
