Hi i am actually 16 with a 1983 buick regal and I actually know a bit about my car and am a huge fan of the buick grand national! I really am looking forward to cloneing my regal as i cant afford a real GN, just wondering is there any certain parts i need to change out? Yes i got the hood and rear spoiler already and also have the regal at a paint shop can I paint the chrome on my car or so i need to buy new? I am working hard to get this car built! Im young but interested in the old school cars yes! I need advice please and thank you!! I got some pictures to the car is in pretty good condition and these pics aren’t too old but i know have a real gn spoiler and hood with the buick turbocharged carport!

That is a clean Regal you are starting with, why not build it the way you want to build it instead of trying to copy a model. There are many GN clones out there so why not so something different?

Besides the rear deck spoiler and hood you will need 84' and up taillights and also the front header panel ,grill and headlight bezels.
The chrome just needs to be prepped properly and can then be painted.
Here is where I am at with my 86' Regal but mine is not going to be a clone.

wow really nice car it looks great! I appreciate your help on what to do any idea on where i can get those parts like the grill? I found my hood and spoiler out of complete luck from a guy with extra parts, And also the chrome can indeed be painted then? Cause as of right now the regal is at a paint shop and i need to know and i can go ahead and tell them to paint the chrome hopefully they know what they doing!

Trim can be scuffed up and sprayed with SEM black trim paint and save a little cash and do it your self

You will have to find an 84' and up Regal, GN or T-type header panel to look like a clone, all of these parts are available in the aftermarket but if you can get them used you will probably save money, on mine instead of painting my grill I bought a new 87' black GN grill.
