Looking to do 18's on my 78 wagon. But would like to see if anyone has 18 on a lowered wagon. (plan on lowering the rear soon/ front is already lowered) I have 17's now and they look good, just wanted to see if 18's would look better. Post pics if you have got it or have seen it. Thanks.

A lot of that visual success is going to be finding the right balance of total width and aspect ratio of the tires. Rolling on rubber bands is so 2002.

Front is lowered on DSE springs and rear is stock 39 year old springs and Monroe shocks.

I agree. I don't want to run a 30 profile tire. But a 35/40 im ok with. This was my 78 Malibu coupe. It had 17x8 with a 4.5 bs and 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear and lowered on DSE springs and looked good. Wish it was a tad lower.

I tried 245-45-17 on my GP and I never like the look of the tire. I went back to 245-50-17 and did what I had to do to stop any rubbing. IMO these cars need some sidewall in their tires....

To me a 50 is to big for the look im going for. Lower profile on a lowered car looks good to me. Going for the pro-touring look.

It's not a wagon, but my '80 coupe is lowered on 18's.

It might be considered cheating a bit tho, as I'm on air ride. The above two are with it layed out, but the one below is with it at ride height.

Toyo Proxes T1r's, 18x8 in the front, 18x10 in the rear.
225/45/ZR18 front, 295/35/ZR18 on the rear.
With these aspect ratios, both front and rear tire combinations are the exact same height.

how did you route your exhaust, did you remove the back seat and modify the sheet metal so you could go over the frame?
