Anyone use this "miracle in a bottle"?


I had a bad trans leak in my daily as was going to drop it to fix it.

A coworker kept busting my balls saying Just put some Lucas in it your good.

Well after months of topping off the trans almost every week (no dipstick have to fill from underneath)

I said **** it what do I have to loose and it worked.

Stopped the leak trans is great. Been over 6 months



So has anyone used the OIL additive for leaking valve guides or something similar with success?


I know there is no Miracle in a Bottle but so far the transmission stuff has come pretty close.

I am running their power steering stop leak at almost 4:1 Lucas to ATF in my F150. Those 90s Ford trucks have really crappy PS pumps, they make a ton of noise. The Lucas seems to have quieted mine significantly. Lucas claims you can use up to 100% PS Stop Leak with no ATF.

I also just recently threw a bottle of their high mileage oil stabilizer in the Camry, and it definitely is running a lot quieter and has quieter startups, and the oil consumption seems to have dropped off.

I'm pretty sure it's just a viscosity modifier, I don't think there are any magical additives in it. But hey, if the car use to leak/make noise/drink oil, and it doesn't anymore, I won't knock it.

I've only used the break-in oil as a zinc additive.

we ran in the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup and got a bunch of free promotional products. I used some of the steering additive and gave the rest to friends. I found the steering additive worked and my firends had no comp-laints and said the product they used seem to work. No one came back with any complaints

Never heard of any issues with people using Lucas products. Glad it worked for you. Beats yanking stuff apart.

Use it in the zf5 in the Powerstroke. Works great to quiet gear rollover noise after swapping to a solid flywheel.
All but stops the power steering leak in the Hondork. Have used it in a couple Subarus that have stuck the clutches in the transfer case. Stuff works.
