Shipping anything heavy or bulky is horrendous. I remember shipping a pair of '75 Valiant fenders, fifteen years ago, to a Guy in your area. I tried to warn him, but he wanted them and they were not reproduced. $500 plus just to ship via Fedex. In 2008. Yes he bought them the shipping was 1.5 times the cost of the parts.
Guessing you are the Guy that has the FB store, (75-79 X Body) I have seen it, and it is impressive. All the stuff you can't find down here in the Desert. We have clean metal, and ruined interiors. Would suspect you have the opposite. I can not remember when I last saw a dash carrier in a late seventies or early eighties GM, that was worth a darn. All the best Dave S
