So my 4 speed shifter is pretty sloppy. There's a lot of play and its hard to pinpoint what gear I'm trying to get into. Is this just something as simple as bushings? I have a video of what the shifter is doing, just don't know how to post it. Thanks

Thanks. I'll try the bushings first. Not really sure how to change them, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Thanks again

I usually take the shifter off,but you don't have to.The spring clips can be a PITA to R&R.They only go back in one way,a good pair of needle nose pliers might come in handy.
Once you figure out how they go,be sure to lube them before you put everything back together.
