Similar to CCC being mandated on 1981 US-market cars. Canada didn't get it til something like 1988

Actually 1986, Olds G bodies were V6 or sbc powered except the H/O, 442 and 88 CSC. I have owned multiple Olds non CCC 80's carbs. Extremely lean calibrated and 800 cfm castings.

Someone on a Mexican Malibu FB group is selling the original 6cyl out of a G body Malibu.

I see a HEI, as I suspected. Somebody probably swapped the distributor on the other motor.
