The long plastic b-pillar covers that go from sill plate to headliner. I'm figuring out these must be different for my 78 Olds Salon. I had scored some nice ones from an 85 Monte Carlo. I just mocked them up and they don't have the right curve. I might could heat gun them but what the heck am I going to do now? I'm assuming this must be a 78-80 part only????

That's right those are 78 to 80 pieces the later ones look the same but are shaped different like you mentioned.

I have a pair from an 85 Cutlass that are in nice shape (not chalky). Now that I read this, It seems they may not work on my 80 coupe. If yours are in good shape, and trade might be useful. Mine are dark blue, I think. I have them in the shed, but I will dig them out and make a photo for you if you'd like.

FWIW, the only ones that are a direct fit for Malibus are from Malibus and MAYBE Lemans/Grand Am (good luck finding those). The pillar above the beltline is at a different angle when compared to Cutlass, Monte, Regal, etc....this is why the door glasses do not interchange as well.

As noted above, the other B pillars can be made to work in Malibus with a little effort
