I know it's a piddly question, but frustrating to say the least. What do you guys recommend for a good quality industrial strength adhesive. I've been using the Permatex brand for quite awhile, but the stuff just doesn't hold up for more than a few months. It allegedly is recommended for use on GM, Chrysler, etc.
Is the 3M brand much better than this garbage? I'm at the point where I'm tempted to notify the company and tell them what I think of their inferior product.

I've used the permatex stuff a few times with no issues. Just make sure to clean the windshield really well with alcohol.

But if in doubt, I would use 3M over loctite or permatex all day long. They are the best at sticky.

Cleaning the area as prescribed isn't the issue. I use their alcohol prep pad and of course their adhesive. Before doing that I'd clean the area with acetone.
When I apply the adhesive to the button, I let it dry thoroughly overnight before attaching the mirror. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.

I think the 3M product would be the way to go. I never had any issues using their products.

I was even wondering about Gorilla glue.
Thanks for your feedback.
