Running Edelbrock heads, and want to run a/c. Does anyone have experience with this type of set up? Any help is greatly appreciated. Olds 350 going in my 87 Salon, thanks in advance. I'm concerned about clearance with the ac box. Is anyone running this setup with a/c?

If you already have an Olds 307 all of your brackets, pulleys and accessories should transfer over to the 350.

Edelbrock heads are designed for a big block. I'm sure it can be done, but I don't think there is a ready-made solution. Just start bolting stuff up until you run into a problem, then work through it. It might be easier than you think.

My concern is clearance. I'm worried about the valve covers hitting the ac box. The aftermarket heads are so much taller.

Thank you for the inspiration. I was looking at how high the heads sit and started thinking there may be clearance issues with running air conditioning.

Gotcha. What are you using for valve covers? I thought you were worried about the front drive.
You can also go a little crazy on the heaterbox, and cast some clearance in. Trunkliner and fiberglass resin for the win.

I want to go with with GM's Olds aluminum cast valve covers. Paint 'em up, add some contrast in the engine bay.

It also depends on what you are using for a rocker set up that will determine how tall a valve cover is necessary.
