Maybe disable 2 spark plug wires for testing the LS engine to bring it closer to the power level of our factory engines.

I will try to find powernumbers of that thing, but i'm pretty sure that it has 150kW max because the 87 buick i have only have 174kW with intercooled sfi turbo.
87 turbo was 245 horsepower or 182 kw.
81 carbureted turbo was 175hp, or 130 kw.

I accidentally wrote that my my buick has 174kW, but meant to write 184kW. Informed official max power on paper varies from 182/184kW, but i'm pretty sure that the real power output was closer to 190kW from factory.

The 99 truck 5.3 was factory rated at 275, the 6.0 was 300 hp.

My LS1 i from early 99 F-body Camaro rated at 305 hp (227 kW). When i register the car i need to prove that engine is from that car by the engine code if it's still there.

Other possibility would be to tell at the inspection that the engine is custom built with different heads etc. " Self made ". Then i could prove the power my dyno paper. But the problem with this one is that i would need to specify very well what heads and other stuff the engine has. I don't want to do that so that even if it would be possible to prove that my LS1 would have 250hp and not the stock 305hp, because it would be harder to modify it later.

Thank you everyone for trying to help on this!

I sent message about engine options to GM Heritage Center, maybe they can help also.

Nobody really tests the engine, it's just all messed up paperwork safety sh*t, that makes no sense. I can add legally 20% power with new engine and that it heheh.

Fox example i could just put fully built twin turbo 350 engine in it with 1psi boost dynosheet showing 220hp. After approving this install to car i would just raise the boost to 20psi and rung around happily with 500hp and in yearly inspection nobody would say anything negative about it.

I want to go LS-engine route so i can play littlebit with hp tuners and do all the modern engine stuff :)
