monte carlos with manual tranny

    so I spotted a Monte in the junk yard with a 4 speed tranny how many was built. anyone know the answers

    lots of Monte Carlo's had the 200 4R. If it was a manual it would have been a 3 speed

    '78 Montes had both 3 & 4 speeds, '79 was only the 3 speed.

    That looks like it was the Mexican version, is the engine a 350?

    the mexico ones didn't come with rear spoiler and the 350 is orange not black for that year

    Thats an 81-85. 83-85 if it's a real SS. none of those were factory equipped with a manual trans. Someone converted it, also those bucket seats are not correct they appear to be from a Cavalier or something. The clutch linkage parts and any thing else related are still worth grabbing if they are cheap.
