over the past holiday weekend i had 1 day to work on the ride and i made some decent progress. the pics from that work are posted over the last page or 2. It was the little stuff that needed to be addressed so now the complete top end is sealed, gaskets are good and new hardware installed. i didnt get to the dizzy so hopefully soon i can get on that.

Man what a pain in the @$$ getting the stock pass side exhaust manifold off.....busted knuckles, rusted bolts that battle was almost like a 12 round fight. for sure i know that exhaust and i went 8 rounds before i knocked it out. I have a brand new set of hooker headers that im donating courtesy of my cutlass. i have something new and special for the cutlass in the works.

Awwwwwwww youngdeezy dont even say that about those bolts.....dayum i hope i dont have that problem and break a bolt.... 😢 😢 ...but cant wait to do my rounds with it as well....i know elko warren gave me a can of Kriol nut removale...just might put some of that and let it sit for cpl days before i go at it....cant wait to see those headers on deezy....nice work!

yeah Saint you should lube them up before you start i dont know why i didnt do that i always do most of the time :blam:

anyway on to the next update:
so now i can completely bolt the bumpers and everything in the rear down. i have the new license plate bucket that ive been waiting on for along time. I got a sweet deal on this lot of parts the SS rad covers goes for $180 new.... but i got it for $75 and that made my day. the other parts are the jounce bars/hardware and the license plate bucket with lights.

when i get around to bolting this stuff down i'll do my trunk popper too, ive had 1 just sitting on a shelf in the garage for the longest now so its the perfect time to put it to use.

let me know what you think guys. so far i guess im about or near the 90% mark as far as getting her fired up now

i have plans to powder coat some items such as my alternator now. thats going to be a gloss black for sure. i dont like how much contrast it has with the other red items my fans and filter have about the same red hue to them but that alt doesn't at all.

heres a pretty good fan shot and the old radiator hold down cover i was using before i got my SS 1.

I finally read this from start to now and you've done an awesome job man! Cant wait to see what your doing with the interior and I agree on the alternator. Theres some parts you dont want to stick out because they look out of place but i think a nice semi gloss black paint job would give the alt a nice but subtle touch. JMO
