I know you got the rad top plate on a deal but do you know who sells them?

now i cant find the info i checked a few sites out for you to try to locate it, mikes monte, gsi and gbodyparts. maybe they dont make them anymore i cant think it would have been a big sale item at the $180 mark but good luck on your search. last thing i could try to do is contact the guy i got it from.

Very nice progress so far!! You came up on those wires, thats a crackhead price. I haven't been able to touch my car yet but I should be back on it by next week. any word on the kit for the cutty? I can't wait to see it installed

Nice man your car is coming along nicely.

It was so nice to hear that baby rumble for a few seconds. Keep up the progress. Holla at me.

I have been following your projuct, it's impressive how nice it is coming along. Did you consider using High Heat Bleack header paint instead of black wrap?

I really like how the radio/cd player looks in there also....great idea!

I have an '86 SS that I have been working on as well, seeing your stuff gives me ideas for mine....keep up the good hard work my man!!

Andy

Pennsy86Montessguy Well thanks for checkin on the build from time to time. im really pleased on how things are coming out so far. For the headers i plan to using a high temp heat spray coating for them and its made by a company called DEI.

i still plan to wrap them though because from what i noticed all of those spray solutions eventually start to dull out and the headers start to turn colors from all the heat soak. As well the wrap should keep the temp down some in the bay. At the moment im just running a normal stock starter and it has no heat shield so the wrap should help some to prevent that starter from getting so hot. i personally have never had an issue like that before but i know of a few other guys in the past who have and since this is a budget thing theres no need for my to buy a mini starter.

now doesn't this just look cool

You know it, hearing a engine fire up is 1 of the best sounds in the world. soon as i get the minor fuel leak handled friday or this weekend is when i'll do a youtube vid so the gbf community can hear this bad and maybe see some car action. man i cant wait!

The last week or so wasnt to much car work being done i wanted to chill a bit for fathers day and this year my birthday was on fathers day as well so it was a double celebration for me with my wife and kids. I did manage to order more parts new budget build items coming soon...stay tuned 😀

MY ups guy did swing by to drop off the alternator items i ordered. The Billet alt nose cone pulley is my fav out of the items the i just received

MEL, This is a bit off topic from the SS but for the cutty i had to join the crew with the long tubes so here a new addition for that ride.
