MAJOR UPDATE GUYS


I just came up on a 100% complete LT1 motor from a friend of mine for $100. wow i still cant believe it now but its so true! The direction of the build has just shifted some but i dont plan on tackling the swap until late summer a few months down the line from now. i dont have any pics of the motor but man i cant wait to see it. I'll snatch the 305 out for the new 350 LT1 block and sale the complete topend of the lt1: intake, injectors, throttle body, fuel rails etc for whatever price its going to cost me to buy the gm carb intake. then i can swap the carb/dizzy and that stuff from the 305 to the lt1. so if anyone will be lookin for lt1 topend i should have a complete 1 for sale sometime soon. before i break the 305 down i plan to sale that motor so i cant dump $ into the lt1 setup.

this is going to make me the lt1 guy for sure now, having 2 gbody cars with that motor but 1 carb and the other efi. another good benefit is that i can fully upgrade the heads on my cutlass which has decent performance upgrades to the aluminum heads, 1.6 compcam rr's but i can see the whole setup going full rr's, bee hive springs, pushrods etc

Did you get the headers from Advance auto parts? Thats where i got mine for a good price....member...lol

Yes sir I'll be roasting those tires in due time, can't wait for that. Also I did get the headers from advanced and a got a sweet deal....free shipping saved me $28 having them shipped to my zip code plus the $50 off discount code I used on top of that, $78 in total savings isn't bad at all if you ask me.

Man imma bout to return my headers to summit and go thru advance. I feel like I've been ripped off hahahaha. The LT1 deal sounds to good to be true. You seem to always be at the right place at the right time when these deals roll around. Imma have to take you with me to buy a lotto ticket when I see u in Cali next month...lol... Lol mel you had me crackin up over here with that lotto deal....good 1. On that LT1 I work with the guy whos going to sale it to me. He had a current add on craigslist asking $500 for it. The combo of him knowing me & just wanting to get rid of it is what put the price at the right mark for me. A good 6 or 7 months back he tested me and told me he had a complete motor but at the time he wanted $600 & I passed on the deal because I didn't have a car to put it in.

Anyhow although I've had good luck with most of my buys so far the powder coating connect didn't work out. Oh well I guess you can't get everything on discount.

Fedex should be by today to drop off a couple parts but it's the fuel pump the part I need the most right now. Tomorrow I'll get it installed and get past the fuel leak I've had so i can just let the motor run. This weekend should be great!

well here we go again 8).....that dip stick is going on my cutlass now but the rest is for the SS. wanna talk about deals the chrome fuel pump was only $28 brand new and lifetime warranty on top of that. Im not braggin but you guys know that, im just price dropping here and there so some of you can price compare when your doing your budget shopping. hopefully you guys will find the same type of deals or better!

now i really need to change up the alternator color to a semi gloss black and put on the billet pulley, cone and fan. i think the alt chrome shield adds a nice touch of bling in there.

this is the billet cover for my water pump. looks pretty sick if you ask me.

got the break line fixed on the master cylinder too, the smaller line on the right had broke off but replaced now. im pluggin away at this build and should have her ready to hit some bay area roads soon.
