MAJOR UPDATE GUYS
I just came up on a 100% complete LT1 motor from a friend of mine for $100. wow i still cant believe it now but its so true! The direction of the build has just shifted some but i dont plan on tackling the swap until late summer a few months down the line from now. i dont have any pics of the motor but man i cant wait to see it. I'll snatch the 305 out for the new 350 LT1 block and sale the complete topend of the lt1: intake, injectors, throttle body, fuel rails etc for whatever price its going to cost me to buy the gm carb intake. then i can swap the carb/dizzy and that stuff from the 305 to the lt1. so if anyone will be lookin for lt1 topend i should have a complete 1 for sale sometime soon. before i break the 305 down i plan to sale that motor so i cant dump $ into the lt1 setup.
this is going to make me the lt1 guy for sure now, having 2 gbody cars with that motor but 1 carb and the other efi. another good benefit is that i can fully upgrade the heads on my cutlass which has decent performance upgrades to the aluminum heads, 1.6 compcam rr's but i can see the whole setup going full rr's, bee hive springs, pushrods etc
