Monte SS budget build

Well heres the deal on the SS and the motor, to make a long story short it died on me or basically it was dead from the start. i took a gamble and lost time but now the car will be even better than what i had planned so overall i happy im moving on with the project.

You guys know for the last 2.5 months i've been willing and dealing with members and craigslist for parts. so i say about 3 weeks ago i got the motor fired up and it sounded good. unfortunately it only sounded good that 1 time and that was also the only time i was unable to get video because my cell phoned just died 20 mins before hand.

So the next day comes i fire her up and let it run and come to the conclusion that i have a blown head gasket. i start to see drips of fluid then white some shortly after coming out the tail pipe. it was some of the worse stuff ive seen the oil and water was mixed thick like a milkshake. overall i dont want to put that $ into fixing it so when it comes out its not going back in.

i know its a little off topic but i been meaning to ask you. Where did you get the covers for light area in the engine bay of the cutty im really feeling those and i wanna get some to clean up my bay. thnx in advance and keep up the work

Im feeling that interior!!!!!...But im jelous! im feeling those electric fans and the aluminum cover...I want my engine bay top like that...pm me with the info where i can get fans and that top brah...looking good!!!

thanks mr. trophy :lol: for the complement. since i havent had the time to pull the motor i just started cleaning up the interior. That gbody run gave me a lot of motivation to do things a bit better than i had planned before.

hey right on man, that part is for sale if your interested. i dont have a need for sbc stuff anymore and i dont know if you have an olds motor or not but the complete top end i9s for sale. The secret for the headlight covers is this....they dont make the for the olds right? So i bought some for the monte SS and made them work on the cutty....thats its man, now you know the trick. for the few i havent seen the pic here it is

1995 caprice LT1 350, this is the new heart for the ride. i bought this from a friend of mine after dealing with the troubles of that sbc. its loaded up on my boys will P's truck.

i already ordered the ac delete pulley. the compressor has to be relocated other wise you have to notch the pass side frame to get it to drop in.

next i need to order fuel stuff. i'll get that done sometime after my Socal trip for the next gbody run. Elco warren and skip be ready for me.
