since the monte has no radio and i have an old stock unit just like this in my garage im going to do the same until i can buy a aftermarket deck for the ride. this mean i wont have to wait forever for sounds so its just another free come up and more progress for the ride in the near future

small update....at the moment i need parts and i'll be playing the waiting game until they arrive. GBf has took care of me so far.

anthonychacon80 sold me an Edelbrock 1406 electric choke carb with only 800 miles on it after the professional rebuild it had and a slightly used stock style starter. This should handle my situation so i dont have the overkill manual 750 carb on my motor.

81Regal is going to hook me up with some steering linkage so i can get this floor shifter stuff going. today messing with the car i noticed i didnt even have any. our deal is pending, im just waiting to here the shipping price but a $10 deal was sweet....thanks 81

edit: i the linkage is mine and i already sent payment. so next week i hope to get a few more things done to the ride when the parts to to come.

mel i know your going to crank it in overdrive on me so i had to get on my stuff

Hahahahah na this build will be sloooow motion compared to the original brown sugar build. My money not as long as it was before. I plan on having it done by october (my birthday is on the 13th, and the Vegas Elco Thang show is around the same time)

NO I dont mind at all but there is a little more info you should have to go with with it  .................that deck is 2002 Delco Monsoon out of a 02 Camaro with the built in amp....this one doesnt have to have theft code cleared but you will need to get a 12 to 21 Metra harness plug to make it plug and play.....to also make it a true fit you can change they bracket mounts from the original style radio that came in your car to swap on to the late model radio......i scored mine for $40.00 and added 3.5 infinity 2 ways and 6 X 9 MB Quartz 3-ways (these rock for $55.00 off Amazon, Im a budget builder too)....I just need to redo 2 wires so I can memory power to the radio to keep time and not reset every function on it starting and stopping the car.....Im going to look into your thread some more more but I will leave you with another budget builder score....a complete serpentine drive with pulleys and accessories for $60.00 bucks from a local junk yard.....sandblasted, etching primer, and painted installed on my motor............

i got home kinda late yesterday so i didnt get to do much but i started mocking things up a bit. That hole is from the last owner when they hacked up the floor board to drop in a b&m shifter... to bad i didnt have that shifter. i'll get that patched up as well

lookin good bra yea ur makin moves wit that monte its good parts interchange on the gbodys cuz it gives u an idea of were and how to mount parts if u dont have it for that car but ur other project have that part.. GOOD ISH BRO....

I was wondering if the same measurement would work for the installation of a console on the Regal Im almost ready to install my new ACC carpet also and consle is being resotred.......

budget build is where its at, its more fun. The engine looks clean from the heads shot you gave, does it run well? Almost no rust nice starting point, the wheels are a plus too. nice find, I want to see some finished pics of it. I like the interior, simple but a few touches are you painting the woodgrain piece in the middle of the wheel red too? may look nice
