I’m about to buy these springs . Looking at the pics the way they’re narrow at the top. If I decide to shorten them, will they still work or will I need to add something?

You can't shorten double pigtail springs. If you want a spring you can cut you'll have to use a 3rd gen f body rear spring that has an open top .

I ordered Moog 5665s listed for the 3rd gen. Thanx

you will also need the F body isolator, part #10290379. It has a channel to seat an open ended spring and the center of it is open which fits the bubble used for the pig tail on the G body spring. I used the 5659 moog which is a spring from the back end of a Citation/Pheonix but I'm switiching that out to a moog 5613. The F body spring and the 5659 is 4" spring compared to the 5" G body and 5613 springs. I wanted to put a bag in the rear spring so if I was carring weight in the trunk the bag could be used to compensate for the extra weight. The bag fits a 5" spring but not a 4"

Thanx. As long as it works for a cruiser, atleast if I need to, I can cut it down
