I'm seeing that now, but pictures of the Accel wires showed it too when I got them a couple years ago (and they, in fact, do not have them).

And that is another reason to stay away from Accel

I used the Moroso Ultra 40 sleeved plug wires. We used them on all our circle track cars and most other race teams did as well. I found I was having issues with the wires so I did a little research and found that those $$$ wires have problem on a street car. Thanks to some of you guys for suggesting the Street Fire plug wires cause they have worked great since I put them on 2 summers ago. This is a good article on plug wires.

I can't understand why spark plug wires are so over priced. I'm sure the markup is phenomenal.

Despite using the Accel wires in the past, I have an Accel blueprint distributor in my car now which I'm very pleased with it. I don't use their coil, I use the same type that's used on the Davis unified distributors.

I have had 0 issues with the Accel products, except the wires 20 years ago, which were pure junk. They were being made by Porter Cable, they were very nice and durable. They are now probably now what MSD is using, the same company. I have a 20 year old Accel HEl Supercoil, it has been flawless. Finding the raised boots is tough. Do an ohm check on those AC Delco wires, curious what they test at. I have seen a huge range in resistance in wires, I think only excessive resistance is bad, like 5000+ ohm per foot.

That's a concern too, price. Can't return the Accel set at this point, might try them when the time comes. Doesn't sound like it's worth going after the Morosos if I've already got something to use.

Will have to check that out, the ohm readings. Need to read up on how to properly do that, and then post the results.

I'm sure you'll be able to find something on You Tube regarding checking the resistance (ohms). Get yourself a decent multimeter, money well spent.
I would just use the set that you already have. No sense buying another new set of wires.

The Accel wires are 500 ohms per foot as they say, at least the sets I have tested were. I thought you said you also had a set of AC Delgo wires but I reread your post. The Accel wires will work fine and stay on the cap just fine.

Lots of good info in that article. Basic, straightforward.
