I am in need of some help I recently bought motor mounts for my 86 Cutlass and the bottom bolt does not line up to frame so I can slide bolt in. It seems like it's sideways, I thought about making other holes for bolt but inner by starter doesn't have enough room for me to do so.....has anyone had this issue before......they're from O'Reilly's part #A2328 and if so how can I fix the problem. Thanks in advance. And has a v8 307 motor in it.

I bought the same ones from there. I didnt want to deal with the head ache so i paid the shop around 100 to Put them in. They only lasted a few months. Ended up buying some stronger ones from supercar unlimited to replace the orrielley ones

I had that issue when I tried to put later mounts in my 70S, about the same amount from lining up. Pre 73 BBO and SBO used different mounts, all 73 to 90 RWD mounts are the same BBO or SBO. Sometimes some shifting and pushing with a pry bar is necessary to line them up. Loosen slightly where they attach to the block, might allow the necessary movement.

Did you match them to the old ones?

Are they the same?

The box might have the correct part number but the part may be the wrong one.

Right box wrong part......it happens
