MSD PRO BILLET DISTRIBUTOR??'s

I have a Blueprint sbc 400 crate engine and the MSD Pro Billet distributors (part number 8365) will not seat flush in the engine I tried 2 different msd 8365 distributors but the stock distributor will fit flush any HELP?THANKS

Could it be possible it's for a tall block & had the wrong p/n put on?

Does it have an adjustable collar?

I am guessing it is not seating in the oil pump shaft slot, That should fit SBC and standard deck BBC without issues.

I got it to seat by installing the dizzy to the correct spot pointing to number 1 cylinder and bumped the engine over and it fell in place never had to do this with the msd 8365 distributor before

I always just turn the shaft slightly with a big flathead screwdriver and then reinstall.
