So I broke down and bought a MSD mini starter for the Olds 350.
Since I have one on my BBC and love the way it fits and cranks over that engine.
So I got it and bolted it up well wtf hits the oil pan/ block where the oil dip stick goes so I put a email in to see what they have to say.
I already trimed the oil pan lip off still not enough room

So 3 weeks ago I sent pictures to
Holleyperformance there ebay name.
After waiting for 2 weeks on a answer because they had to send the pictures to their engineering department to figure out why the starter wasn't fitting. Well I had enough told him to sent me a return label and they said I can return it well I hope so since it doesn't fit. To top it off their engineer department has no answers.

I also had no idea this existed either. I am using a Ebay special on my Olds 350, similar to the smallest Powermaster mini starter. I actually had to grind on the body of the starter to get it fit tight to the block, it hit in a similar spot.

I had a similar problem on my Monte Carlo engine build, the issue was the aluminum mounting block was for the wrong tooth/diameter flywheel...

Took me a little while to figure it out haha
