You are pushing it with the 2004R. Overfill and maybe add bigger boost valves. Of course the factory 3000 to 4000 rpm shifts also suck. My 88 had factory 3000 rpm full throttle shifts. Of course the stock 4L60E that came behind the LT1 was barely better in stock form and crappier when both trans are beefed up. As much as I don't care for the sbc or LS, at least it will have modern SEFI.

My end game is T56, I plan on putting a Torque converter and shift improver kit in it for the time being. I have way to many high dollar stuff I need to get finished before the t56. If I can get maybe a year of driving once it’s on the road next year I will be happy.

A good shift kit will include the .500" larger boost valve, it should help.

A few parts came in this week, umi engine mounts, have an efi connections x24 LS coil conversion kit, camaro radiator w/dual fans and electric water pump. These were not really in the budget but I got a really good deal so I couldn’t pass it up. https://www.eficonnection.com/home/...gnal-kits/efi-24x-product-line/efi-24x-lt1lt4

Well the guy I paid for the EFI connections x24 kit backed out after I paid him for the stuff, he did refund the money I paid him but still just sucks...... well anyways I am moving forward on getting the engine in and put together. I may put the x24 kit on later down the road. I made a bit of progress got the engine sitting in the car. Hope to get the frontend on this weekend and start running the wiring and such.

Got the fenders back on and wiring harness routed, still need to pick up some headers, torque converter, GN fuel tank fuel pump and a few other things before I start her.
