Was just going to do a cam swap and associated mods on the 6.0 by myself. But decided that I might as well plan a head for boost and have it built correctly.
So I contacted a local engine builder who comes highly recommend. The LQ4 6.0 has the beefier rods that can hold a decent amount of boost. So I'm having the rings re-gapped, heads cleaned and decked, ARP rod bolts and head studs put in. Also going to order the Sniper EFI fuel tank system with a 400lph pump vs the 255lph. Figured with the correct injectors I should be good for 750whp-800whp if I decide to go that crazy.

Well things have slowed down a bit, due to me buying a used 2018 Trackhawk. I sold my Hellcat 2yrs ago with the thought of buying a used Trackhawk down the line. Well the deal presented itself and was to good to pass up, so I bought it. Promised myself that I will finish the Regal before I start modding the TH.

So with that said, the heads from my 6.0 are at machine shop getting cleaned up and surfaced. Engine builder did a leak down test on the 6.0 and passed with flying colors, lol. Started ordering some of the Holley parts for the swap, headers ordered as well (black Friday sales). Hoping to be able to order everything else needed with my X Mas bonus. Still have to get my TH400 to the trans shop for a "freshen up"

Update: Been super busy with work, plus did a few mods to my Trackhawk (840whp) lol.

Regal has been repainted to the color I originally wanted. Buddy who owns a body shop took care of me. One of his workers spent almost 12hrs just blocking it. Not a show quality $15k paint job, but a very solid paint job. Went straight from his shop to my engine builders shop.

Had all intentions of doing the LS swap in my garage with my buddies. But guy that built the motor made me a deal I couldn’t refuse to do the swap. As much as I wanted to do it, I’m at a point in my life where I can afford to have it done right the first time. Doing it with my buddies would have took way longer, probably half assed a few things, then relying on them to show up on the weekends. I’m 44yrs old and have been turning wrenches on all my cars for the last 25yrs and will continue to do so. Just felt this was best left to a professional.

6.0 LS swap done and she is back home. One thing I didn’t even think about. I went with the TBSS intake mani and it looks like it sits too high for stock hood. Going to suck if I have to buy a cowl hood and paint it after I just had the whole car repainted. I’ll attempt to put stock hood on Saturday when I have some help. If it’s close maybe I can shave some of the inside of the hood.

Got the hood on and it closed today. Pretty excited that I don’t need to buy a new hood.
