Did alittle cleaning in the garage to make some better space to work on this again after still not finding a local fan shroud to trim/cut. So more mock ups, more readjusting, more cursing in English & Spanish.
Just seeing this now. You shouldn't have to trim the shroud at all.
Trimming the bushings is necessary at times, but not the shroud.
So the shroud still won't fit, can't shave any more off the Prothane pads, top of the core still damn near rubbing the top of the support, top of the tanks still making contact. Tossed in a two core with stock pads that has no issues, even did old three core with no issues. Now this is how I feel about this venture:
So now I'm looking at cutting my losses selling it & just hit Summit up for a copper/brass unit. All I wanted as a stock looking rad that was to be direct fit & didn't get it. I really wish I could find someone to recore what I have & be done with it. What a waste of $325.
