Sucks but look at the dimensions of their rad, huge compared to stock. They should have say possible modifications are necessary due to the size of the rad. If I was closer and less broke, I would buy that rad in a second.

Not to encourage you to buy but I think besides the hacked mount pads & tweeking the upper part of the rad support, using custom (or Olds) upper rad mounting & electric fans would be the way it'll be best installed. Over all, better R&D is needed cause I'll admit the quality looks like it's there but fits like :poop: for my application.

We certainly aren't running anywhere. Some fit with theirs and some don't. Can you email pictures of where you are having issues with the shroud?
[email protected]

Our cores are huge compared to other 2 and 3 cores. Most are doing our radiator and shroud kit for extra cooling which seems to be a way to go. I can offer you a discount on a shroud package if interested. We'll talk in the email :)

I even mounted the rad support into the frame to have it all as it would be with the car back together. Can just get the top bolts in the hold things but still can't get the bottom two in. I have green tape on one side to hi-lite the issue. The shroud I want to use is the stock one I have as I'll be using a clutch fan.

Still looks like the pads are not letting the shroud/plate sit down far enough. That would solve the one. The shroud, I'd have to look further into. What was your application again? Did all G-bodies have the same shroud or were they different from Makes?

I can't shave down the pads anymore or it'll be metal on metal. They're as flush as they can go to still do their job. The application is a 1981 Chevy Monte Carlo using Chevy 350 (SBC), the rad is a GMG554A. Your website has an incomplete listing of what it'll fit as it says only '82-'88 Monte Carlo but the support & shroud works on my '81 "A" body (correct '81 support is only different from '82 up as GM opened up the head light pocket/opening more for the '82 up quad light Malibu/El Camino header panel, '78-'81 Malibu/El Camino used the same as my '81.) At this point it still leading to cutting modifcations to make it fit. If needed I'll post pics of the old rad mounted & the GM p/n's of the Chevy rad supports & shrouds that fit the old rad (I have the Chevy parts books for '78-'88 A/G bodies.) FYI I've owned this car since 1990.

I’m watching this now I need a new radiator for my olds and I was considering one of these because it looks semi stock and looked well built but my support is painted and I won’t cut it up

OK I found a sacrifical shroud today & cut off the part hitting the core. Now without having those ribs/deflectors/??? there is now a gap between shroud & tanks. I knew it was over kill but I can make something to fill the void & give me an idea how much would need to be cut off the good one if I am willing. Since it is kinda mounted for the mock up I tossed on the upper rad hose. Glad I both the earlier & later A/G hoses as the later one rad side of the hose is too small of an I.D. A tip for R&D, try using stock cars with unaltered OE parts to use as testers of parts designed to fit those models.
