With my eyes closed ;)
I saw this on FB, advertised as a 350 Vette motor that was rebuilt, obviously they spent a lot of time detailing it when it was out.

Rustoleum rebuild maybe!

But that's how the big rig manufacturers do it. Cat, Cummins, Detroit, etc. Spray the whole thing- wires, hoses, belts etc. Make it shiny!

That's for sure, You can always tell the parts that come back to my plant from assembly because they will be just hosed in red paint. Most of the time can see where the wiring was sitting or a sticker or really anything. Just fog it. The full engine goes into a booth and then robots have a routine that they go through and then they have a guy at the end of the booth for touch up. Some things get masked off like the pulley surfaces but not a whole lot. I work for Cummins in the "big rig" engine line lol

Appears they just threw a gallon of paint into the fan blades while the engine was running. Quick and easy.

I especially like the cardboard behind the passenger valve cover. Keeping overspray down was obviously a concern
And yet, they appear to have gotten the proportioning valve as well?
