My Ford Truck Project (And Other Projects)

It. Still. ****ing. Leaks. 
Not as bad as it was, but it's still leaking. So I adjusted the door and actually used some weatherstrip adhesive to actually glue the door pinchweld seal on. And it still leaked. Not as bad, but still leaked. Then I seam sealed around the drip rails and now I'll have to wait for that to dry before I can test it again. If that doesn't fix it I don't know what my next step is. I will have to paint over all of the seam sealer as it is tan but I'm pretty confident in my brush touch up skills so I don't think I'll have to entirely repainted the drip rails and door jamb areas. Ford was pretty sloppy with paint and seam sealer there to begin with.
Oh and while I was adjusting the door, I was wondering why the door to fender gap was so uneven. Found out why-
That would be the core support mount. You can see I have the core support propped up with a piece of wood so I can at least get the passenger side door open. But basically the whole right front corner of the body isn't attached to anything. So you could say I'm pretty irritated with this thing right now.

They were one of the first things I suspected, but they are nearly new. They are only maybe a year old, and they are the higher quality lights from NAPA not the Chinese garbage ones from LMC. The gaskets on them are thick and seal tight up against the cab.
I used to hate the look of those trucks. Now they are rare and I like them OK. At least they aren't complete rot boxes like the square bodies. The square bodies also crack the frames when worked. My 78 had the dreaded crack, Dad worked that truck. That is a nice colour combo too.
I used to call it "the bruise"...
I actually purchased this truck at an auction several years ago, in desperation. I had just sold my car, and the wife and I both wanted me to get a truck. I had it about a year, and sold it to a friend when it became a bit of a problem child, about 8 years ago. he put a bit of money into it, and still has it to this day. it was never my favorite vehicle, but it was a fun truck, and got alot of thumbs up.

No hijack at all Darin, I could use a break from my truck anyways. These water leaks are pissing me off! The leaks are much less with the seam sealer, but there are still a couple. So I used.the weatherstripping adhesive to glue in the driver side door pinchweld seal too. I'll report back.
