looking really good! I'm not a fan of that generation of F-series or green, but oddly enough, I like it!

Still been busy on the truck, it's really moving along! I got new door seals and window sweeps from Rockauto and installed them.

I got a new smoker window from the junkyard and installed it, as the frame on my old one completely rusted off where the handle attaches.

I painted the underside of the cab with Gravitex, and I filled a couple gaps in the interior with 3M rigid pillar foam and topcoated it with Rust-Oleum LeakSeal to match the Gravitex as best as possible.

I got both gas tanks installed with new straps and hardware. The rear tank also got a new sending unit/fuel pump. I didn't use any strap insulators, are they necessary?

PepBoys had Monroe-Matic Plus Shocks on sale, so I replaced my well-worn rear shocks.

Also my new carpet from ACC came in, so I should be installing it in the next couple days.

Lol, I threw that on one night for sh*ts and giggles, I haven't decided if I'm gonna keep this exhaust setup or not. The bright red does look cool underneath though. This truck is whisper quiet when it's running, I think the cats are clogged and are muffling it. I don't mind it being quiet though, my old Chevy Silverado had a Flowmaster 40 on it, and it droned like crazy. Sounded great outside the truck, but if you drove it in for more than 10 minutes at a time, the drone would make you lose your mind.

Been working on getting the new carpet in and the rest of the interior back together. Carpet fit okay, not perfect, but good enough. The weather has been nasty lately, so hoping to have it back together before it gets much colder. Now all I need to do is get the front seats and the door thresholds back in. More updates on the way.

Finished getting the interior installed today.
It's incredible how a new carpet can really change the feel of a vehicle. No longer is the interior grimy or smell like a wet dog.
Still need to get the driver's door back together.

I also fully hooked up the fuel pump electricals today and put a couple gallons of gas in each of the tanks and tried to get it started, but I think the ignition module got wet while the front clip was off the truck, so I didn't get it running. I'll test the module tomorrow and go from there.

As far as tank insulators go: I don't like metal on metal contact on my fuel tank. A tip that I got from my old-timer radiator guy: take a wide strip of roofing tar paper, and fold it in half lengthwise for a cheap insulator.

I'm with you there, I don't like having metal on metal anywhere if I don't have to. I browsed through Home Depot yesterday and couldn't find anything suitable for making insulators. For roofing they only had felt underlayment paper, nothing rubber or tar. I may go to Lowe's tonight and see what they have.
