Redneck ricer? Please don't.

Oh yeah! Lope tune, stacks in the bed, Carolina Squat, big "C" decals on the back window :ROFLMAO: Greta Thunberg is gonna spit out her fruit loops.

No.

More like a skid steer and an equipment trailer.

No redneck rice. I can't stand that stuff. Any truck I buy is staying stock. I can't emphasize enough how much I am not looking for a project. I want my automotive project efforts to be devoted to the Regal. I'm trying to eliminate distractions, not find more.

As for the skid steer, it's an idea I've been kicking around for a couple years. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself because it's still a ways off but if I'm still in this house in few years (that's no guarantee), there are enough projects to be done that I want to have one. And if I'm not in this house in a few years, I'm sure there will be projects at the next place. I could go on and on but there is too much speculation and it'd be getting well beyond the scope of this thread.

And then I drove past this thing today-

Local mechanical contractor has it for sale. A good company too. It's a 2012, 4WD, flex fuel 5.0L V8, 144k miles, newish tires, new stickers, and comes with the toolbox and rack. It's got a little rust bubbling around the rear arches but everything else looks solid. The price is right too.

It's not a 3/4 ton but damn is it nice.

You already have a 1/2 ton Ford with a 5.0 and a tool box.

My BIL had a 93 Dodge, with bigger injectors, pump and a 4" stack, 0 issues with the 5 SPD. He also had a 2011 Dodge with the 6 SPD, again 0 issues.

Well that 2012 F150 already sold. They were asking $5500 for it, at that price I knew it wasn't gonna last long. So much for that one.

This is truck country here, unless it had a million miles, no way you could get one here for $5500, probably twice that.

Just a thought- Anyone driving a 2WD regularly? The 2WDs diesels are fairly plentiful and are a hell of a lot cheaper than comparable 4WDs. No one around here gives them a second look. Thinking about it, all of my trucks have been 4WDs, but I've never really "had" to use it. I haven't had to drive on a snow covered road in almost 3 years and even if I ever needed to, I can use the Subaru. And of course off-roading is cool but realistically, I'm not off-roading. And I don't know about the Chevys or Dodges but the 2WD Super Duties use the same frame as the 4WDs, so I always "could" convert a 2WD to a 4WD "if I wanted to". Just thinking out loud here.
