I had a few people expressed their interests in my Nova. So here you go. This was my Dad's last car he was building. The body work and paint was done by him as was buying and putting the engine together before I started playing with it. I helped him put the engine in this car. We had a problem with the head gaskets, and the engine came back out and got gone through again. While he waited for the engine to come back from the builder he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It progressed very rapidly. That is when I took over the project. I got the engine back in the car and running. He believed he was the first one to start it, but well youknow

I fat fingered my phone. My bad. Back to the story. He passed away shortly after that. I did get the car drivable, and drove it to the funeral along with my brother driving my Dad's other car. A 72 Vega Prostreet. I rewired the car front to back with a pain-in-the-*ss wiring kit. I ended up pulling the engine again. Changed the oil pan and flex plate along with rewelding the motor mounts. He is a picture of the car Monday when I brought it home.

I spent a lot of time and money on this car and kind of got burnt out on it. I let it sit for the last ten years. I did start it from time to time and moved it from garage to garage a couple times. I have been kind of missing my dad lately and know I need to do something with it so I decided to play with it again.

Now for the jist of it. My dad was building a drag street car. He wanted to run it in the ten inch tire street class. It has a nine inch with 456 gears and a spool. 3500 stall converter with a manual reverse pattern 400 turbo. Six point cage. The engine was built for Nitrous. I am not sure of the displacement of it. It started out as a 427 out of a Corvette. I think it has a stroker crank? It has all forged internals, race heads and is a full roller engine. The engine was dinoed before I got it back. I have the papers some where? It is around 700 hpr at 10000 rpm. This engine revs faster than any big block I have ever seen. It lopes pretty hard. It also is a 9.5 to1 compression engine so it is pump gas friendly. My dad had a lot of money in this engine. Around 15000 bucks. All I know is the b*tch will run!

Don't let the cheap valve covers fool you or the crap altinator bracket. They will soon be changed. There is roller rockers and stud gurtals under there.

You can see what I am dealing with. My plan for now is to make the car more street friendly and drivable. I am going to build a new center section with some smaller gears. Finally put the exhaust on it. Fix the interior up some. Put the back window in. And change the valve covers. The list will keep going, but for now that is where I will start. Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome.
