So with winter now upon us, obviously I was in need of a new lawn mower. I went to the local cub cadet dealer to get filters and a new ignition switch for my 2084, when I happened across an old International 184.

After convincing the wife that it would actually be useful, and not just a toy, we bought it and brought it home for the princely sum of $1000. It came with a front blade and a 59" Woods deck that mows beautifully. I will probably start cleaning and painting on it as time goes on, but for now I am still debugging it and figuring out what it needs.

It's an I-H; it needs a 7.3 Powerstroke! :p
I already have one of those though. I have been looking for a different motor to swap into that truck, though.

Yes, it is the final variant of thenumbered Lo-Boy's with the big 18hp motor. I have been having a ball with it so far, and was able to mow a yard with it one time when I first got it. Since then it has been a godsend for grading the gravel roads around my house, since our road commissioner thinks that gravel roads shouldn't need gravel added, EVER.

Maybe a snow plow attachment is another way to convince the wife.

I find plowing the wife is a good way to convince her I should be allowed to do a lot of things.

It looks like a turbo could fit on it. Push it to 36 horses!
Well, it does have a 6 or 7:1CR so it should handle it ok...
