I believe it's for the vent tube that runs to the catalytic converter. Mounts to one of the exhaust bolts

85ss/85gn is right, Checked the box of AIR injection parts removed from my 88 Monte Carlo SS and that bracket was in the bottom of the box.

Crossmember cable clip is Short. For myself I like that shot of the speedo drive cable bracket as a genuine contender.
