Mystery column part identification

I was taking apart the tilt column in my 86 SS to fix a broken ignition rack. Now that I'm almost done I have a part that I don't know where it goes. The column was dropped too. What is it? Where does it go?

Looks like it goes on ignition switch

The ignition switch on top of the column? Would you happen to have any pictures of it.
