So alot of us are interested in NASCAR and the fact that G-Bodied cars were prevelant in NASCAR during the early to mid 80's. My goal with the
help of all those interested is to have a collection of NASCAR g-body pictures from just the car itself, to detailed
suspension and chassis pictures. I for one, would like to build a tribute car one day, and I noticed several others are doing this as well.
So, Ill start it off with all I have. Any requests for pics, whether it be chassis, aero, etc., pm me or post on here and whomever has it, if I cant find it,
post it up. I think this would be very helpful in building replicas and tributes to the 80's NASCAR G-bodies.

We do know that the rear suspension setup for g-bodies in NASCAR was a truck arm ssetup like the one listed here----http://www.hotrodstohell.net/truckarm/truckarm_gbody/truckarm_gbody.htm

Also here is a picture of how the rear spoiler would have mounted, granted this isnt a gbody car, this gives you an idea of how to make it work. The g-body NASCAR spoiler didnt have the notch cutout in the center either. Also in the 80's, they didnt have those neat adjusters either. Anywho, gives you the basic idea.

I just uploaded a picture to my profile of a 81-83 buick winston west car that was bought from I believe Bobby Alison. It was one of his short track cars, hope that helps

I'll try a couple, guess what? 1980 Grand Ams
I took some pictures of the 1980 Grand Am replica that won the first Busch Series Championship back in 1982?
It will be displayed at the Nascar Hall of Fame grand opening this Spring. 1 of 4 cars being displayed.

Id like to see those widened fenders on a street car...

I like how some of them bent new sheet metal fenders, some widened the old ones, and some didn't even bother

I agree that was the reason I was in the market for a G body from the 80's. I intend on building a car that is reminiscent of its circle track heritage.
