AFTER ALL THIS TIME, I JUST FOUND OUT WHAT ENGINE I HAVE... Its a Generation 5 - but it is a crate engine, which explains why it has the Fuel Pump Boss... should be rated for low HP and decent Torque, but I am finally able to start modifying more significantly. I have a few new posts to put up.. UMI Chassis notching kit is in, just ordered the T56 and everything... now! I need Headers! Back to Square one... It may wind up needing custom headers since the T56 will take up decent room too!

Nope Hooker 2455's fit right in with a little griding to the passenger side lower control arm and low solid mounts

If you use ARP head bolts you have to trim the header flange ( you would have to do that with any header)

2" primarys 3.5" collector super comps all for around 200 buxx

I hope you didn't put 4.11s in the 9. 1st is gonna be real quick; better get some big, sticky meats back there!
haha! I debated it! I actually put 3.70's in the ford 9 with the close ratio T-56. I wanted to go for highway speeds and stuff, I want to be able to cruise and get around since I plan on using this all the time. But I do fear that maybe I'll have to go with a shorter gear in the back eventually! We'll see. I'm notching the chassis for now, since I already spent all the money on the new fuel system and everything to make it look stock. We'll see! Hopefully I can feel the Monte run again by Feb.

If you're interested,heres a write up I made when I put the # 2455's in my 5 speed big block Monte;

Unless you are shooting for big HP numbers,I would suggest using smaller primary tubes,like the 1 7/8 inch ones as they will likely fit a bit better.

Thank you! I'll look at this now and order them up! I'm just worried about the whole starter/oil pan/bellhousing and chassis clearance. I saw people said you have to grind down the control arm, but I just ordered brand new UMI tubular control arms and do not want to grind anything off of them! Too much money to modify them!

You dont have to touch the arm just the mount on the chassis
