I placed this in the Cutlass section because I think this is specific to the Olds engines.

I had some work done on the intake gasket and they broke the DTVS. I need a replacement ASAP. I am in the Boston area. This is on the front of the intake, driver's side with 3 vacuum hose inputs. That is my imediate need.

If you happen to also have the SAVM in good shape I could use a spare for that. SAVM (Spark advance vacuum modulator )

I am attaching the diagram of the vacuum hoses. I have a 78 Cutlass 260 with AT, non high alt, non California

Thanks in advance.

I can't believe no one has any leads to where I can get a replacement?

Can this be bypassed? The mechanic said it can be, but I drive this in the Winter and can't imagine bypassing this will not give me problems.

Anyway, does anyone have a lead for a used one, 3 port?

This came off a 260 V8 that was in a 1978 442 that I parted out years ago.
The number stamped on the base is 3039086

That is the one. I was just going to post that after an extensive search, I found the number to be 3039086. Unfortunately, I cannot find a Borg Warner or Standard Motor Parts cross for it. For the chevy engine, yes. But the others.... According to the parts book, this is black, 3 port with 150 degrees.

If you need a new one, there's a few in Tulsa, OK at phillips muscle car parts http://www.phillipsmusclecarparts.com/search-nos-by-gm-part-number.html

I believe he's got 3 or 4 of these in stock.

I can't find anything about that SAVM.

Thanks. He is out for another week so I hope Red78Calais can come through. That SAVM is a Spark Advance Vacuum Modulator. My priority is the DTVS, but could use the SAVM as a spare if one that is in good condition can be found.
