I’m a little confused What this is called I’m guessing it popped off Can I get some help please I appreciate y’all

Looks like a breather to me

Looks to be part of the air pump.

Will that breather/lid pop back into place and stay in?

Breather off the smog pump, if you look at the backside of the breather, it is cracked from age and is why it popped off the tube. Buy some high temp silicone and DON'T USE TOO MUCH, but a nice thin layer and pop it back on and let it sit overnight, problem solved.
