I need some help: I have a ls 5.3 with the cts-v oil pan. It is in the car (gbody) but is not aligned straight. One side of the engine is further back and will not slide forward because it is hitting the frame on the where I believe the oil cooler mounts. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Never done an LS swap, but just by looking at the pictures, could it be that the adaptors need to be flipped, so the longer side (from where it attaches to the frame motor mount) of the adapter is on the opposite side giving you more slot length to adjust?

It might help if you tell us where you bought the motor mount adaptors.

Get out the whiz wheel and cut the bosses off the oil pan. If you want to use an oil cooler, mount an aftermarket type somewhere else.

These are the maxpeedingrod mounts for s10 but they said it would work with gbody cars. They didn't say anything about clearance as far as the oil pan and which one to use . I have the ict billet adapters to use stock clamshell mount so I'm going to try that

Don't know much about that pan but it looks like it's sitting on the cross member???

Yeah I think the pan won't work with those mounts because it's not fully in the factory location. Here is a picture of someone else's with the same pan.

From what I have read you have to do your research if your going to piece a kit together. The big 3 items that need to sync together being the motor mount adaptors, the oil pan and headers. I am not sure what your budget is but on Jegs you can buy a G Body Holley LS Swap kit that includes everything you need to drop in the motor & trans with (from what I have heard) zero fitment issues for ~$1,700 or just buy what you really need to take the guess work out of it like the mounts & oil pan & piece the rest of the kit together from "cheaper" sources.
