I recently purchased an 84 Cutlass Supreme and a lot of wiring was cut and three wiring harnesses were unplugged on the passenger side next to the a/c & heater box. One large harness was unplugged that runs next the brake booster. Cruise control as removed from this Cutlass, so maybe it has to do with that? I'm trying to unclutter the engine bay, so i just need to know what they all were for and if it's okay to trace them and cut them further or fix them. Thanks in advance:D

I am currently removing the rest of the a/c & heater box. so i'm aware of all corresponding wiring that went to that.

Here is a link to most of the wiring diagrams for these cars:

That site also has many other good resources although I think you'll find the members here very helpful and friendly.

The white/clear plug with brown and red wires LOOKS like the alternator plug

That's what I was thinking, being that the cruise control servo is completely missing

Hmm, i can't even pull those wires remotely close to the alternator. And they look like the wires go underneath the distributor somewhere.

I had my wiring chopped up so I replaced the harnesses in the engine compartment with a good harness I found at the wreckers
