So I'm hoping someone here can help me pick a shifter, converting to a full manual 4L80E and I want to integrate it into a factory console if possible. Not sure whats going to fit or what will look good. So if you have pics of what you used I would love to see it.

Thanks guys.

I have always liked the Hurst Quarter Stick or the B&M Pro Stick

At one point they made a Pro Stick that was specifically made to fit the GBody consoles

Duke, I'm running a Hurst V-Matic 2 with a Monte Carlo console and the trim plate notched to clear. I haven't yet, but there is a clip to be removed to make the shifter 4 speed compatible, and I recently bought the B&M 4L80E cable bracket. Here are a couple pics, if you need different views just let me know. Now that the Cutty is sitting outside I can just uncover it.

Did you make the panel the gauges are sitting in?

How does the pro ratchet work? Pretty solid shift throws? I’ve had it I’m my summit basket a few times now....

I like that too. It definitely looks period correct too. 👍

I'm currently running a Hurst V-matic 2. It was pretty easy to make it work in the console and the fit is real good. Planning on doing a 4L80E swap myself this winter. I'm probably gonna go with a V-Matic 3.

We debated about this for too long. We ended up using a B&M Quick Silver shifter. Has a ball on top rather than a 'T' handle or pistol grip. The idea being that it's much easier to hit the ball than the other options. It works very well and we beat on it hard. It seems to work best when not trying to be easy on it. The other style handles gave me the idea that you're driving with your hand on the shifter, but I prefer to have both hands on the wheel, especially when running hard over 40 mph.

I can't say how it will fit in your console (we have a 60/40 split seat.) Either way, the ratchet style shifters are the only way to go when launching hard.
