So every time it rains very hard or more recently, when a lot of snow melts, I get huge puddles on the floor panels of the front seat. This past few days have been especially bad in terms of rain and snow melt, and today was some of the most water I have seen. I have checked the seals/glue around the windshield and around the glass. They seem good. I resealed, a few years ago, the a/c and heater panel so that should be good. I have tried to look behind the steering column and behind the glove box etc but I don't see anything major, at least not right off the bat. I guess my next step is to take a hose and slowly get portions or sections of the front of the car wet while looking physically inside the vehicle to see if I see any leaks. Does anyone have any experience with this? Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated since I don't have a garage and with spring coming and inevitably more rain, I would like to get this sorted sooner rather than later. Not to mention among other things the interior carpet is new and I am tired of it being soaking wet.

get a hose, no nozzle, turn on low and start at fresh air intake for HVC system, Go around evap, heater core box, then around winshield. Go slow and take your time and you will find it.

Okay, that's kind of what I was thinking of. Seems like it will be time consuming and monotonous but worth it clearly.

Take your time. have someone in the car with a flashlight looking and the carpet pulled back.

Wellston, OK
Seams on top of the cowl, under the windshield lower molding. Sealer dries out and cracks off, water takes the easy way in

Once I find the leak, what is the best compound to use to seal the leak back up?

Take your blower fan off and look inside, over the years sh*t collects inside blocking the drain hole and the water drains inside the car instead.

Any easy way to get to the blower fan/where is the drain hole?

Not sure if your car has a/c but look at the picture below, the fan is circled in black. There are a few screw holding it on. When you remove it look down inside and remove anything thats down there pine needles, mouse nest and other junk. The drain hole is at the bottom hard to see. Run some water on the windshield and you will see water running inside that opening and should be draining under the car.
