HELP!!!! im wiring up the neutral safety switch on my mega shifter. And was planning on just unpluging the plug from the neutral safety switch on the column and running wire from that plug to the shifter micro switch. Now with that said the car wouldnt start in gear when i had the colmn shift in the car. So i unplugged the wire from the column switch to run it to my shifter and with that unplugged the car still starts ?????? Im confused the plug i pulled from the column switch is 2 wire purple and green. Hope my rambling makes sense. Anyone have any ideas

The neutral safety switch is built into the column as a manual lockout. You're only dealing with the reverse lights. A relay must be added to the B&M if you want to use that one, or reinstall the backdrive linkage from the trans to the column.

good news, bad news.
our cars don't have an electrical neutral safety switch. there is a mechanical interface in the column that keeps the key from turning when in gear.
the wires you found on the column were for the back up light switch.
you need to splice into the starter solenoid wire that goes from the ignition switch to the starter for your shifter based neutral safety switch to work.
