Hello all - Been tinkering with this Nova for several years now. Here’s a pic of what I did to it today. I had to repaint part of the frame where my chassis builder welded tabs on for the motor plates. Next is getting the cage and dash painted. I hope to be done with it by Fall.

My buddy has a red 69' that he is currently working on and has a fresh 632 BBC getting ready to drop in.
He just added a rack so his new bigger Lemons Headers will fit.

That’s cool! I’d like to see pics of his Nova. A pump gas 565 is going in mine.

I have a pump gas 565 in my Monte I built about 10 years ago and new one on the stand with higher compression, AFR 357 heads and a larger solid roller that I plan on running on E85 at some point.
I'll see if he has any pictures he can send me but I know it is torn apart right now with no front clip and he is doing his brake lines.

It was my first pump gas build, it runs great but it is a milder build with AFR 335's and a smaller solid roller than my previous 555 that had Dart 345's and 748.714 Comp cam. both engines have the 4/7 swap along with my new one it seems to smooth them out a bit.

Ive always liked Novas. Since I was in high school. I had a 72 for quite a while and sold it back in 1998. 355, 4 spd. Not a fast car but clean and fun to drive.

That’s a great looking Nova! Thought seriously about painting mine silver, but settled on Hugger orange instead.

Thanks. It was a clean car. I saw it at Fall Carlisle and bought it almost a year later. Redid the sub frame and changed some stuff on the motor a month after I bought it. The car was owned by a guy that was the bodyshop manager at a Chevy dealer. He put new GM quarters and front fenders on it. Brand new NOS bumpers. Lots of new trim. Another car I regret selling. LOL
