Hows it going guys? I'm back after I don't how many years. I tried to get my old account back but had no luck.
I had a build thread on here long ago >> My old cutlass . After having the issue with the alignment shop and my wheel falling. The car sat for a couple months. I was looking for a door and fender but had no luck, Eventually I gave up, took all the parts out the car put on the front suspension into an S10 I sold the S10. I then bought a 95 mustang GT did a full cobra swap with a vortech supercharger and it was fun. After that I had a few other mustangs but it never satisfied my craving for another Gbody. I did have a short fling with an El Camino, but i was never really a fan of elcos. It was an 85 with a TPI 350. did the standard zq8 front and LS1 rear disk. Though the car was a lot of fun it still never replaced the void in my heart for another Cutlass.
That recently changed when I traded my most recent Mustang for 86 Cutlass and let me tell you I couldn't be any happier! my wife was actually genuinely about my behavior on the way to pick the car up. I can definitely say i got the better end of the bargain on this one. though at the end of the day we both got what we want. he really wanted a mustang and i really REALLY wanted to once again be behind the wheel of another Cutty!
I try to post some pics in a few minutes and maybe start a new build thread this weekend.
A little about me. I currently a field engine tech at Cummins. I had my own shop a few years back but it was something I did mostly on the side and weekends. Built a few rotories, a couple 2jzs , plenty of LSX stuff a bunch a Ford stuff. As the family grew the time I had for the shop and for my cars began to dwindle. I ending just closing the shop and focusing on the day job. Now that I have his Cutlass its sparking all my feeling again and want to start working on getting a shop again. For that only time will tell. For its moslty gonna be the planning stages and enjoying he cutlass while I decide what route I plan to take on the car.

welcome back! know the feeling about the cutty's, I have an '86 Salon that I've had for about 5 years or so, and put a new crank in, but have never gotten around to getting the title straightened out.... every time I start thinking I should maybe sell it off, since I don't have any real attachment to it, I just see it, and I can't bring myself with even thinking about putting a price on it....

looking forward to seeing what a mustang'll get ya nowadays!;)

Not a spec of rust it’s got the cleanest doors I ever seen. Floors are mint. Trunk is mint. When I say I got the better end of the bargain I meant it!
